Alexander Siddig appeared at Destination Star Trek in Dortmund, Germany, over the weekend, and the internet was burning up with fan posts about Dr. Bashir!

A fan requested a birthday shoutout for a friend who couldn’t attend, and Sid went one better.

That wasn’t Sid’s only musical moment of the weekend, however. Check out his rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon”.

Sid also took time out for a follow-up interview for the upcoming Star Trek: Deep Space Nine documentary.

Mel started a fan site for Siddig in 1996, as a way to learn HTML and to promote his charitable endeavors. In 1998, he proposed that it become his official fan site; she quickly agreed and a long-distance friendship was born. You can reach Mel at mel[at]sidcity[dot]net.
