Just to let you know that "The Nativity Story" is to be reviewed on the Simon Mayo show around 3pm (GMT) today. (BBC Radio 5)

As this is a live broadcast I have no idea what the review will be and so there is a possibility that the movie will not be received favourably, however as the station runs a live online feed I thought I should inform the board and let you know what is happening.

Fingers and everything else crossed that they like it.

I didn't find anything on BBC radio 5 but Radio 3 has something on its website. It has the announciation Gabriel makes to Mary right at the beginning as well as an interview with Catherine Hartwicke.

Here.

Very interesting and at times odd experience listening to the review on Radio 5.

It was the final movie to be reviewed and Sid's voice (A scene with Gabriel) was played so that was a treat. Mark Kermode obviously did not recognise him from previous movies such as "The Hamburg Cell" which he adored and oddly enough mentioned Sid's hair !!!

One point he did make was that he was surprised that the Director had played it so safe considering her previous edgy work but made it the movie of the week.

Considering the venom he laid against the movie "The Holiday" I was quite pleased at the turn of events as i did fear one of Kermode trademark rants.

I was saddened that a major reviewer has not twigged that Sid is the same actor from one of his favourite recent movies and not sure how this can be explained other than the reviewer having a sieve like memory.

It is on the front page of BBC Radio 5 page on a listen again link if anyone is interested
