Wow Sid looked very dapper in that suit, very Edwardian. I love the fringe (am I right in thinking you call them bangs in the US?), wonder if it is work or fashion related.

Boy does Sid not look 40, is it me or did he looks very nervous.

I know I have not been around as many of the longstanding Sidsters but boy do I feel proud of him.

Greetings from the SC Roving Reporter!

I was fortunate enough to have been able to head into NYC yesterday for the red carpet. Got there just as security was setting up the barricade, so I was front and center for taking photos.

Scene: Loews Cineplex is in a very busy shopping area of Midtown, so there were people constantly walking by (unfortunately in front of us poor souls waiting for an hour). There was also plastic sheeting hanging from an awning all the way around the carpet. I'm guessing it was to protect them from the wind, which is common in November (but absent yesterday):



Sid arrived and was guided inside pretty quickly, so I wasn't able to give him a shout out from SidCity. I was able to snag a few pics. These 2 were the best of them (though I did get an extremely clear one of the back of his head ):





These are all in the Gallery now (thanks Mel! ) along with a few of Matt Damon and George Clooney. And there will be videos forthcoming after they've had magic worked upon them. More about those when they're ready to be shared.



PS ~ Now for the fangirl bit. SQUEEEEEE! Sid looked fabulous! And he was only about 10 feet away, so I oogled in between taking the photos. He should have smiled for the photographers the way he was grinning for the interviewers. Guh. Not that he looks bad up there, but he was glowing when answering questions.

Thanks for sharing your trip, Spidur. I agree - I wish he'd smiled more for the cameras. It's tough to be engaging without a specific person to connect with.

Question: what is that red thing in his pocket, could you tell? It's not the traditional pocket square, but it is pretty snazzy.
