The Jumpcon team is currently organizing several Scif / TV series related conventions this summer. They are mainly held at the Eastcost or in the Midwest. Unfortunatley, I couldn't spot Sid on any of their guestlists, but some other interesting folks are attending: e.g. Robert Picardo, Adrian Paul, Connor Trinneer, Jeff Combs, Kevin Sorbo, Armin Shimerman, ..
The tickets aren't that pricey, so it might be worth having a closer look:

Thank you for letting me know about Jumpcon Conventions. I'd never heard of them before. It does look like the Enterprise jazz band is booked to play at all their conventions so Casey Biggs should get lots of time with the fans.
In case you didn't know this, Kitty Swink is Armin Shimerman's wife. This IS the kind of stuff I like for the newsletter. I'll check back for additions or changes shortly before the May issue goes to press, but I do thank you for bringing my attention to this.
I'd love to go to Washington DC, but those dates in August happen to be when our family is having a big reunion in Nebraska.

My pleasure, I only got to know about them by pure chance and I thought I spread the word a bit. I didn't know that Kitty is his wife! Everyday something new!
The Enterprise
Blues Band is supposed to good fun. A friend of mine has seen them on a con in Germany and they really rocked the house. It's not root blues, more like a fushion of blues, country, rock and hula. Some of their songs are hilarious. I love "Red Shirt Boogie" and "Mister Sulu" - always makes me smile. They have some songs on their myspace page:
