Since I'm a big fan of Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), I went to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall today. Kristen was perfect in the role of a television actress and she's truly beautiful on the big screen. Ironically, her character plays a detective in a TV series, who made a failed movie, and will wind up playing a woman with super powers. You'll recall that Kristen Bell could electrocute people by touching them on Heroes. Sometimes a character can be a little TOO close to the actress playing her.

You should know that the movie has some male frontal nudity and quite a few sex scenes, but overall the movie was fun and the scenery was beautiful. It's just.... well, here's the thing. Half way through the film, Sarah's new boyfriend mentions in an off-hand way that he has genital herpes. From that moment on I couldn't stop tallying the possible infection spread since this piece of information is not shared with any other character. I stopped being a movie watcher and became a public health official.

One thing I did enjoy was the cameo Jason Bateman has at the very, very end of the movie.
