Sid has recently been announced as a guest at this year's London Film and Comic Con at Earl's Court over the weekend of July 19th/20th. They haven't yet clarified if he'll be there both days or if he'll be doing either a talk or photoshoot in addition to signing.

According to showmasters he will be there both days.
And Portia, it's no problem to buy tickets at the door. You just have to be there early enough to avoid long queues. Usually talk tickets are free (well, this year they want money for the Stewart and Heroes talk, so, not sure about this). But they are very limited because space is very limited there. Also, photoshoot tickets are available at the day. Last year not even the tickets for the Heroe cast members were sold out.

Thank you We'll be going both days and get the tickets in advance. I've been to the London Expo a couple of weeks ago, arrived early and still we had to queue for over a hour to get in. We missed the Galactica talk when being stuck waiting. After that day we deceided to go for fast track/early entry whenever possible.

I hope the line-up doesn't change too much last minute, like it did the last time I wanted to go.

Photo shoot with Sid on saturday at 3 o'clock, his talk will be on sunday at 1.35 p.m. . (At least if showmaster doesn't update those times and dates again. )

I'm still deciding if I should do the photo or not, my Vegas plans make me feel that I could be perceived as hardcore. Gaah, how awkward. Ok, I dig him, I do love travel and I can do that more easily and spontaneously because of my employer, but still.. Someone I know is a huge Keanu Reeves fan and she's done some things that I'd call stalking. I felt so embarrassed for her when she told me what she'd done and I'd never want to catch me even thinking about such actions. Noooo..

It's good news that the shoot is before the talk (- at least for the time being). I'll have my hysterically funny and slightly crazy best friend with me. Already told her to behave, but she cannot help blaring out comments - rather loudly - so I could be ending up with the label "nutter".. . LOL, normally I find that hilarious, I'll motivate her to do it in some of the other talks!!!

Just had a look myself - Udo Kier cancelled. Man! Would have loved to get a photo with him for my Mums B'day pressie. Daughter with a German man. Kind of a rare sight.

Don't worry. Attending two convention within two months isn't "hardcore" .
Just have fun and enjoy the show.

I did miss him again. He wasn't feeling very well and they changed the time of the photo shoot exactly then when I was having lunch around the corner.

Hope it's nothing serious.

The organizers told me that Sid might be back for the talk tomorrow.

On the showmasters forum are a couple of comments about yesterday and about Sid as well as a photo.

Thankx I did see it and he does look a bit tired. Hopefully he's resting up and getting well

I'm sure he was pretty tired from being in Cairo filming and it probably caught up with him. He looks exhausted though still sporting a great smile. Some rest will no doubt do the trick. It's hard to say why they didn't allow pictures with him, could be some contract thing. Still if I felt awful I really wouldn't want people in my face. I'm sure it was all he could do to sit there and smile. We all know how tough it is to go to the office when we feel really sick. Yet he smiles and is kind and gracious. Feel better Sid.

One of our Nanites was going to be at the London Film & Comic Con and I tasked him to ask Sid a specific question. Now I'll just have to wait and find out if he got it done!

He's was probably tired from rushing back and forth. You know a lot of travel isn't like it is when you aren't a kid anymore.
