I think they are showing some old episodes here now but I didn't know that from today.
They, of course, did blow up a caravan. They tried to cause an explosion with mobil phones and a lot of petrol. (Because you are always warned not to use a mobil phone at a petrol station.) But that didn't work. So they had a guy jumping up and down in nylon clothes and then let him touch a wire which was connected with the caravan. And it worked. I never thought it would.

Then they tested protective clothes - with a water melon (because there were no volunteers )
The result: water melons should wear protective clothes when playing cricket or hockey.

Does anyone know if they are still producing new episodes?

Is the presenter of the show Jon Tickle per chance?. I think this is made for satillite TV so I am not sure if any new epsiodes are coming your way. I have heard from other sources that this show is a hoot though.
