The BBC Press Office page has a piece up about Hannibal. There's a piece here. You'll need to scroll 3/4 of the page down to find it.

There's also a bit, (including a bigger picture of Sid on an elephant. shock.gif ). You have to go here. Then in the Press Pack PDF section, (right hand side of page), and click Page 2. Scroll down to page 4. Enjoy.

Good catch, Marie! I wondered how long they were going to wait before they actually started promoting it.

Here's the blurb from the press kit:

Hannibal

It is 200 years before the birth of Christ and Rome is the new superpower of the ancient world. She believes she is invincible – but one man is destined to change that.

He is a man bound by oath to avenge the wrongs inflicted on his home and, in pursuit of revenge, he will stop at nothing.

Hannibal explores the man behind the myth, revealing what drove the 26-year-old to mastermind one of the most audacious military moves in history.

With 40,000 soldiers and 37 elephants, he marched 1,500 miles to challenge his enemies on their own soil. It was an act so daring that few people believed it possible.

Hannibal combines drama, the latest historical research and state-of-the-art CGI to bring this spectacular story to life.

We do have something special goodies on the way for this project, just as soon as we get clearance from the powers that be. whistling.gif

Just been back to check this site, (still no news as to when it is on mad.gif ), and spotted this?

Mel, you're not the only one who thinks Sid looks young if they think he can pull off playing a 26 year old at 39. biggrin.gif

A 26-year-old man would look a lot older back then -- more weathered, more wrinkled than a man of similar age today.

Isn't that true. There are just some people who are that way---lucky them . . . lucky Sid. May he live to be 100 and always look like he's 29. photo.gif
