I love what the Director and Clarkson had to say about Sid... I'm glad he was able to do this movie!

Oh, this was fantastic! I devoured the whole thing.

Gotta love this paragraph,especially the last line:

Clarkson shared her on-screen silences with Alexander Siddig, who she declared is
“Yummy.” She went on to provide details of the yumminess: “He’s a tall glass of water with
those beautiful eyes, plus he has great character, charm, and talent. These are all the
elements you want in your leading man. He arrived and I said to Ruba, ‘Are you sure we
don’t need a sex scene?’”

Of course, I loved reading Sid's comments, and adored reading him being refered in such glowing terms. Hopefully, there will be more publicity for Cairo Time, to keep us fed until the movie itself comes out. Video interviews, maybe?

As it happens, I'm home from work today because my car is in the shop. (Thank goodness for Paid Time Off!) What a perfect day to add Cairo Time's press kit to the newsletter's layout!

I didn't read the entire article, as I hate spoilers, but I did skim through it and this jumped out at me:

“His acting ability, his intelligence, his gracious refinement, it is almost as if Alexander comes from a different time. He is gentle without falling into the trap of being the sensitive North American male,” (Charles Pugliese)

I haven't been a Sid fan for very long, but in every interview that I've had the opportunity to read or see with him, this has come across to me. I had been trying to figure out exactly what it was that was jumping out at me about him, and this was it. I doubt I could ever have stated it so perfectly. I am so excited about all of the glowing reviews of him in these notes and can't wait to see the movie! Sadly it will probably be quite some time for me unless I can get down to the city (a five hour trip) while it's still in theatres.
