Full Version: If I had the chance to ask Sid a question, ...

We know that Sid will be in Las Vegas in August. We know some members of FBTS will be there. We don't know if they'll think to ask the questions we most want answered!

I thought we could collect some suggested questions and forward those to our representatives. Obviously not all questions will get asked or answered, but maybe we can prime the pump. It couldn't hurt!

I love to know what is his opinion regarding the contreversey about changing the plot of "Cards on the Table" from novel to TV screen, which upset many Agatha Christie fans. Also someone should mention that his portrayal of Mr Shaitana was highly praised by the Christie message board?

What were his feelings about George Clooney winning the Oscar for Syriana?

What thoughts did he have regarding the Berlin Festival as the press conference and premiere looked surreal?

Did he have any mishaps with the elephants during the filming of Hannibal?

Best Wishes

My question would be as follows:

Does it surprise you that your current work has delivered a number of new fans that may have become devoted 'Trekkies'?

Is that term still in use or am I showing my age? biggrin.gif

Someone definitely needs to ask him about those elephants. lol.gif

laughing1.gif Well, that's what came to my mind first!

Looking forward to going.Who and how would the ladies who are going to the convention would like to ask Sid all the questions gathered from the other members?
I will make sure to take lots of pictures! 2thumbs.gif

kacydax, we already had a thread for this topic, so I merged yours with it.

OK here are my questions.
First I would like to know, whom his favorite artist is and/or work of art? (I mean fine art, like painting or drawing.)
The second question is a bit more personal and it may seem strange to you all, but I would like to know, if Sid knows and wouldn't mind telling, what time of the day (or night) was he born? I just want to know because I was wondering what his rising sign would be. I recently got an Astrology book and have done a chart for everyone I know, practically. Then I thought that I could do a chart for Sid. (I hope he doesn't mind.) I know that Sid's star sign is Scorpio and his Moon sign is Pisces. But in order to find the rising sun sign (and to figure out where the planets were when he was born,) I need his time of birth. Therefore, if he doesn't mind telling... would someone ask? Thanks! flowers.gif

By the way, I don't predict futures. ( I believe that's up to the individual. I just like to know how people's personalities are influenced.) Astrology can actually tell you about some aspects of your personality, and is one way for people to understand why they sometimes do or are attracted to certain things. (Hence why Sid has a desire to direct, may have to do with him being a Scorpio. From what I've read, Scorpios love controlling or manipulating things and therefore are often attracted to things like composing or directing. Also, his moon sign suggest that he is: very imaginative, gentle, kindly, very friendly, and psychic/receptive (this is because this is the most sensitive placement for the moon.) From you all I've heard that this must be true about him, except for the last part which only he would really know. (I'm just Curious to know more... !)

I sheepishly admit that I would like to know this too, but thought it might be too personal. I've done astro charts and basic birth readings for virtually everyone I know, so it wasn't till I'd done one for Sid that I thought it might be inappropriate.

If it isn't deemed too intrusive, I'd also like to know whether he was born in Khartoum or elsewhere. eg Omdurman.

I know he's said that he was born in the early morning, around dawn...my chart made him Scorpio rising too.

Hmm, double Scorpio.

You know, the question where he was born is interesting. I don't think it's more personal than knowing about the day he was born. *shrug*

I'm reading those astro charts more for fun. (And I only believe them if they say something positive. lol.gif )

I also would like to know where he is born. Sudan is quite a big country. smile.gif

My question would be: What he would prefer more, shooting in the desert or in the snow at about 20 000 meter ?

A double Scorpio... O.K. that's too much... blush.gif I just really like Scorpion men! (When I found out Sid was a Scorpio, I figured that's probably why he's so attractive to me. It's the vibrancy and intelligence in his eyes.)

As for Birth place, I have a DS9 book which said it's Khartoum, Sudan.

Hi There:

The thing is, I am a Scorpio too. I was born November 20, 1965, Saturday-9:30am. NYC, by the way.
So that makes me 1 day older than Siddig (lol)! I wonder what would he say. Kind of Interesting.

According to the breakfast TV interview he did, he "loved those ladies"!

Three female elephants made to look like however many - he didn't have time to tell about any mishaps though, so I'd love to hear his reply to this question!

BTW, thanks Colibiri for the Khartoum info biggrin.gif

The Trekker's Guide to Deep Space Nine: Complete; Unauthorized, and Uncensored -by Hal Schuster

It's an out of print book and I ran into it accidentally. It covers the fist to fifth season and has a biograghy for all the actors. I haven't gotten around to actually reading it though. I just bought it because it's an out of print, and hard to find type of book, (to add to my collection.)

Yes, Sid was born in Khartoum.

A note: While I think that posting questions for future appearances is a good idea, especially for those with a burning question who may not be able to attend an appearance, we do need to keep the conversation appropriate. So far these questions/discussions haven't gone too far, but please remember that Sid's private life is private. If something gets too personal, the Mods will have to remove it and a warning will be issued.

Another question for Sid:
How was shoting in Dubai ??
Especially, how was the hotel? biggrin.gif
