Not only do I love the Cardassians, I am also a big fan of the Romulans. cheer.gif
Is there anyone else that find the Romulans as interesting? bec

Yeah, I do. punk.gif
I think they should have used them more often instead of Klingons.
Far more interesting. (And that talking about honor can get on your nerves sometimes.)
Maybe I also like them because I think Vulcans are interesting.

Must be the ears......

If I was honest, I'd have to say the Klingons really irritate me. mad.gif
And that I find the Vulcans a little predictable (although I adore Tuvok).
I like the fact that the Romulans are a little like the Cardassians in a way (willing to do what it takes to benefit the empire).
I really liked the fact that they brought the Romulans in to the war against the Dominion (it's about time that bridge was crossed and the Federation and the Romulan star empire learned to "play" nice).
My favourite Voyager episode is Eye of the Needle. The Romulan in that was great.

I like and don't like them all for various reasons. But my favorite race I think would be the Bajorans. That's why I like DS9 so much-that and Sid! lol

Hm... I find it hard to dislike the Bajorans. After all, if the producers of all things Trek had not created them then we would never have met the Cardassians. I feel for Bajor and its efforts to rebuild post-occupation, and I think it speak volumes to think of how Bajor came to Cardassia's aid after the withdrawal of the Dominion; however, I do wonder how much of that move was influenced by the Federation?

Here's a question for you: if Sid was to play a Trek alien, which do you think would suite him best?
Personally I think a Trill. heart.gif

No idea. But I like Hortas. But I don't think Sid would like to play one of them. lol.gif

I'm a big fan of the original series. So I really enjoyed the very few episodes with Romulans. And of course: Spock! biggrin.gif

And I don't think they are like the Cardassians. They are more secretive and we don't know much about them - I think that's what I like about them.

Hmm.....I can see too many simularities between the Romulan Tal' Shiar and Cardassia's Obsidian Order. Prehaps though the Romulans are not as voical as Cardassians when it comes to general sneakiness, after all when you see a Cardassian you instantly think what's he up to? Whereas with a Romulan you think, he could be up to something but is he?

You are right of course when you say we don't know much about the Romulans. However is what we know about the Cardassians true?

In short, if it came down to a fight between Romulus and Cardassia (with no outside influence) the Cardassians would win. Why, I hear you ask, well simply put the Romulans are sneaky, treacherous, Honourable and willing to spill blood for the good of the Empire. And the Cardassians would use all of their traits against them! (Without losing the same traits that they hold dear.)

It's just a question of how mean they could get.
