I expected to find George Clooney's movie informative. What I did NOT expect was a packed theater! My friend and I had to climb up to the very top row and even there we had to get up and shift over to put two empty seats together for latecomers!

I knew George Clooney directed Good Night and Good Luck and that he played the part of Fred Friendly. What I did not know was that he also co-wrote the script.

The trailer for Syriana ran with this movie as it did with North Country since all three are from Participation Productions. Unfortunately, the only other movie trailer that proceeded Good Night and Good Luck was Paradise Now which is about suicide bombers in Palestine. As the Syriana trailer began, I could sense the audience thinking, "Another one?"

This is an important movie that couldn't be more timely. I'd explain why, but then I'd have to move this review to the political thread.
