Have y'all noticed that while both Vorta and Jem'Hadar are cloned JH are only "males" while Vorta still have "both"?

What they should have done was had all the vorta be "female" to have the comedy of the woman controlling the men. lol

I guess it's because the Vorta did devellope in a natural process first, before the Dominion came and "modified" them.

Thinking about it..... you know, actually the fact that there are only male Jem'Hadar contributes to the clichee of the strong man and the weak woman. (Not very nice.....)
On the other hand, how do we know if the Jem'Hadar are male? Ever seen one without his uniform? lol.gif

Hmm......If the Jem'Nadar don't have females because the Dominion consider them weak, they obviously haven't met Sirella or any other Klingon women or many women at all for that matter, maybe they should take a night off of killing for the Founders and have a night on the town and meet a few women.

A Jem'Hadar dating agancy now that could be interesting lol.gif

While Star Trek is generally very politically correct, besides a few obvious exceptions, the writers still tend to (at least loosely) stick to basic gender roles...
But really, Ulli does have a very good point: being clones, the Jem'Hadar wouldn't have any real reason for reproductive organs. It's probably more likely that they don't actually have a gender at all... hmmm.gif While they assume the masculine personal pronouns, there probably isn't much to back it up (if you know what I mean wink.gif )

If that were the case, you might wonder why Vorta appear to have gender... But is isn't unreasonable to think that some races might respond better to a female diplomat than a male. That would justify the Founders' decision to give the Vorta gender.

I can't believe I wrote such a Star-Trek-nerd response laughing1.gif

Lol I like your nerd response. My dad and I were discussing who was better-Bashir (and Garak) or Weyoun and I said I though Weyoun was a wicked awesome character but still too annoyingly a religious fanatic and diplomat to be a truly lovable character. lol

Not that ALL diplomats and fanatics are bad. lol

It's pretty hard to compare Bashir (and/or Garak) to Weyoun(!)... They're so completely dissimilar hmmm.gif I have to admit, though, that despite Weyoun being the villain, a religious fanatic and conniving diplomat, he's a pretty endearing character. I frequently wish there were character offshoot stories of DS9: I'd really love to see a few more Weyoun-centered stories...
Be that as it may, I think Bashir would win in the popularity polls (he still has my vote, too notworthy.gif)
