Alexander Siddig Co-Stars in Isaac Asimov’s FOUNDATION from Apple TV+

By  |

Foundation, an epic series based on Isaac Asimov’s science fiction series*, is coming to Apple TV+ on September 24, 2021.

The 10-episode series chronicles the thousand-year saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.

The cast features Jared Harris as Hari Seldon, Lee Pace as Brother Day, Lou Llobell as Gaal, Leah Harvey as Salvol, Laura Birn as Demerzel, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn  – plus our own Alexander Siddig as revealed in the teaser released today! Siddig’s role is still under wraps – he told me he “only briefly appears” – but we get a teeny glimpse of him here.

Foundation is executive produced by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman. This will be the second time Siddig and Goyer have teamed up. Siddig previously had a recurring role as the mysterious Aslan Al-Rahim in Goyer’s series Da Vinci’s Demons. And, of course, this is the first of two (so far) Apple TV+ projects for Siddig – he is currently in Australia to film Shantaram.
