Alexander Siddig Leads New Series “Fallen”

By  |

Variety announced today that Alexander Siddig stars in the new series Fallen, based on the YA novels by Lauren Kate*.

Sid City Social Club members, this is the project he is filming in Europe that caused our schedule change.

Siddig stars alongside Sarah Niles, Jessica Alexander, Gijs Blom, and Timothy Innes.

Fallen follows Luce, a young woman who is sent to a boarding school/rehab facility called Sword & Cross to serve time for a crime she can’t remember committing. There she encounters the enigmatic Daniel (Blom) and exasperating but irresistible Cam (Innes), all of whom are under the watchful eye of the sinister chief doctor Howson (Siddig), and devout twin sisters Miriam and Sophia (Niles). Luce must untangle the mystery of who she is and why she has a connection to Daniel that goes far back beyond their time in the institution.

I’ve read the first book in the series (Fallen), which is mostly world-building, and am waiting for the second (Torment) to arrive. Siddig’s Howson is the primary antagonist, at least for what will be the first season of the TV series. Fallen is produced by Silver Reel and Night Train Media, and co-produced with Globoplay. It has not yet been picked up by a network/streaming service; stay tuned for information on where and when to watch the series once it’s complete!
