WATCH: First Trailer for SHANTARAM + Cast Photos

We are exactly one month away from the premiere of Shantaram, and Apple TV+ celebrated by releasing the first trailer plus cast photos!

The trailer does a good job of setting up the story – Charlie Hunnam’s Lin escapes from prison in Australia and makes his way to India. There he meets a bevy of interesting characters, some more nefarious than others. Karla (Antonia Desplat) gets a lot of focus in the trailer, although there is no mention of green eyes. We also meet Prabakar (Shubham Saraf), Khader Khan (Alexander Siddig), and Lisa (Elektra Kilbey). I was surprised that we get glimpses of the first seven episodes, including a spoiler involving Siddig’s character beginning at the 1:26 mark.

Shantaram premieres Friday, October 14 on Apple TV+ with the first three episodes streaming. The remaining episodes will premiere weekly on Fridays after that.
