Introducing the World Tour Collection

By  |

Who’s ready for some new merch? In honor of the global community that is the Sid City Social Club, and to commemorate surviving 2020, we’ve created the World Tour 2020 Collection.

The Collection

A few months ago, I had the idea for a collection inspired by rock band tour shirts and posters. It was a nebulous vision but I knew exactly who to collaborate with: the brilliant Elmie/almaasi K-E created something even better than I imagined. Colorful and full of Easter eggs and references to the social club, the World Tour 2020 Collection is a pure delight.

The main image comes in two versions – the usual pristine artwork and a distressed version that looks like it survived 2020, too.  You’ll find these designs on a variety of items, including apparel, stationery, posters, mugs, and more.

Elmie also pulled a few elements from the main image to offer as stickers, available in several sizes for the “meme-loving chaos demons” in the fandom. Obviously the squirrel/tomato duo needed its own sticker. We also have a sheet of five smaller stickers to decorate your notebook/water bottle/protest sign.

The Beneficiary

As before, we will be donating proceeds from sales of this collection to a nonprofit organization. We’ve selected FareShare West Midlands as the recipient this time around. FareShare West Midlands redistributes surplus food to more than 150 organizations across West Midlands (UK) that work with people in need, from families on low income and older people at risk of isolation to those affected by homelessness and mental health issues.

Proceeds from sales of the Sid City Social Club World Tour Collection will be donated to FareShare West Midlands to support the work they’re doing.

Mel started a fan site for Siddig in 1996, as a way to learn HTML and to promote his charitable endeavors. In 1998, he proposed that it become his official fan site; she quickly agreed and a long-distance friendship was born. You can reach Mel at mel[at]sidcity[dot]net.
