Alexander Siddig to Star in ‘Twilight’ Prequel

Everyone out there fancasting Alexander Siddig as a vampire, pat yourselves on the back! Lionsgate announced that Siddig will star in Gloaming, the upcoming prequel to the Twilight franchise.

Siddig will play Dr. Carlisle Cullen, patriarch of the vampire coven introduced in Twilight. According to the movie’s description, Gloaming will give us the Cullen family’s origin story.

Written exclusively for movie theaters, Gloaming features the story of how the Cullen family came to be. Alexander Siddig stars as the Olympic coven’s patriarch, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, as he turns people out of desperation to save their lives and forms the strongest family of vegan vampires known to the world. Gloaming will explore the difficulty of leaving behind what’s familiar and forging a new path and life, over and over.

Additional cast announced today are Melanie Lynskey as Esme, Jaeden Martell as Edward, and Madelaine Petsch as Rosalind. 

Gloaming is targeted for a Christmas 2024 release.
